Description

The version of Google Chrome installed on the remote macOS host is prior to 79.0.3945.130. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the 2020_01_stable-channel-update-for-desktop_16 advisory.

 - Insufficient policy enforcement in extensions in Google Chrome prior to 79.0.3945.130 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to bypass site isolation via a crafted Chrome Extension.
 (CVE-2020-6380)

 - Use after free in speech in Google Chrome prior to 79.0.3945.130 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page. (CVE-2020-6378)

 - Use after free in V8 in Google Chrome prior to 79.0.3945.130 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page. (CVE-2020-6379)

 - A spoofing vulnerability exists in the way Windows CryptoAPI (Crypt32.dll) validates Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) certificates.An attacker could exploit the vulnerability by using a spoofed code- signing certificate to sign a malicious executable, making it appear the file was from a trusted, legitimate source, aka 'Windows CryptoAPI Spoofing Vulnerability'. (CVE-2020-0601)

Solution

Upgrade to Google Chrome version 79.0.3945.130 or later.
