Description

The version of Google Chrome installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 79.0.3945.117. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the 2020_01_stable-channel-update-for-desktop advisory.

- Use after free in audio in Google Chrome prior to 79.0.3945.117 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page. (CVE-2020-6377)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Google Chrome version 79.0.3945.117 or later.
