Description

When the BIG-IP APM system processes certain requests, the apd/apmd process may consume excessive resources.(CVE-2019-6661)

Impact

BIG-IP APM

When this vulnerability is exploited, the BIG-IP APM system may experience excessive resource consumption, which may cause one of the following :

Degraded overall throughput

A failover event

BIG-IP systems that are not provisioned with BIG-IP APM are not affected.

Solution

Upgrade to one of the non-vulnerable versions listed in the F5 Solution K61705126.
