The remote device is missing a vendor-supplied security patch.

Description

On BIG-IP 15.0.0 and 14.1.0-14.1.0.6, under certain conditions, network protections on the management port do not follow current best practices. (CVE-2019-6664)

Impact

BIG-IP

The defaultfirewall rules for the management interface are not reliably reinstalled after first boot. As a result, the management interface may be exposed to unexpected access.

BIG-IQ, Enterprise Manager, F5 iWorkflow, and Traffix SDC

There is no impact; these F5 products are not affected by this vulnerability.

Solution

Upgrade to one of the non-vulnerable versions listed in the F5 Solution K03126093.
