Synopsis

The remote EulerOS host is missing a security update.

Description

According to the version of the mod_auth_mellon package installed, the EulerOS installation on the remote host is affected by the following vulnerability :

- mod_auth_mellon before 0.13.1 is vulnerable to a Cross-Site Session Transfer attack, where a user with access to one web site running on a server can copy their session cookie to a different web site on the same server to get access to that site.(CVE-2017-6807)

Note that Tenable Network Security has extracted the preceding description block directly from the EulerOS security advisory. Tenable has attempted to automatically clean and format it as much as possible without introducing additional issues.

Solution

Update the affected mod_auth_mellon package.
