Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update for nss-softokn.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 6 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2019:4152 advisory.

- nss: Out-of-bounds write when passing an output buffer smaller than the block size to NSC_EncryptUpdate (CVE-2019-11745)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL nss-softokn package based on the guidance in RHSA-2019:4152.
