Synopsis

The remote device is missing a vendor-supplied security patch.

Description

A denial of service (DoS) vulnerability exists in the MS-PIC component. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this issue, via specially crafted SIP packet, to cause the MS-PIC to stop responding.

Solution

Apply the relevant Junos software release referenced in Juniper advisory JSA10964.
