Synopsis

An IT monitoring application running on the remote host is affected by an Information Disclosure vulnerability.

Description

The version of Ansible Tower running on the remote web server is 3.6.x prior to 3.6.1. It is, therefore, affected by an information disclosure vulnerability. A flaw exists in Ansible Tower where plaintext RHSM credentials are stored in the database located at '/api/v2/config'. An attacker with access to this information could log into RHSM and make changes.

Solution

Upgrade to Ansible Tower version 3.6.1 or later.
