Synopsis

The remote device is missing a vendor-supplied security patch.

Description

According to its self-reported version number, the remote Juniper Junos device is affected by a vulnerability: PKI keys exported using the command 'run request security pki key-pair export' on Junos OS may have insecure file permissions.
This allows another user on the Junos OS device with shell access to read them.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Apply the relevant Junos software release referenced in Juniper advisory JSA10974.
