Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update for OpenShift Container Platform 4.1 openshift.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 7 / 8 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2019:3266 advisory.

- kubernetes: `kubectl cp` allows for arbitrary file write via double symlinks (CVE-2019-11251)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL OpenShift Container Platform 4.1 openshift package based on the guidance in RHSA-2019:3266.
