Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update for sudo.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 7 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2019:3204 advisory.

 - sudo: Privilege escalation via 'Runas' specification with 'ALL' keyword (CVE-2019-14287)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL sudo package based on the guidance in RHSA-2019:3204.
