high Nessus Plugin ID 128548

Synopsis

A web application running on the remote host is affected by a local file disclosure vulnerability

Description

According to its self-reported version number, the Atlassian Confluence application running on the remote host is 6.1.x prior to 6.6.16, 6.7.x prior to 6.13.7, 6.14.x prior to 6.15.8. It is, therefore, affected by a local file disclosure vulnerability which exists in page export component. An authenticated, remote attacker with AddPage space permission can exploit this to read arbitrary files in the <install-directory>/confluence/WEB-INF directory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Atlassian Confluence version 6.6.16, 6.13.7, 6.13.4, 6.14.3, 6.15.2 or later.
