Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update for gvfs.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 7 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2019:2145 advisory.

 - gvfs: Incorrect authorization in admin backend allows privileged users to read and modify arbitrary files without prompting for password (CVE-2019-3827)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL gvfs package based on the guidance in RHSA-2019:2145.
