Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing one or more security updates for mod_auth_openidc.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 7 host has a package installed that is affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the RHSA-2019:2112 advisory.

- mod_auth_openidc: Shows user-supplied content on error pages (CVE-2017-6059)

- mod_auth_openidc: OIDC_CLAIM and OIDCAuthNHeader not skipped in an AuthType oauth20 configuration (CVE-2017-6413)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL mod_auth_openidc package based on the guidance in RHSA-2019:2112.
