Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update for libcgroup.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 7 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2019:2047 advisory.

- libcgroup: cgrulesengd creates log files with insecure permissions (CVE-2018-14348)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL libcgroup package based on the guidance in RHSA-2019:2047.
