Synopsis

The remote device is missing a vendor-supplied security patch.

Description

A non-privileged user is able to mount a fuse filesystem on RHEL 6 or 7 and crash a system if an application punches a hole in a file that does not end aligned to a page boundary. (CVE-2017-15121)

Impact

An attacker can exploit this vulnerability to cause a denial of service (DoS) on the affected system.

Solution

Upgrade to one of the non-vulnerable versions listed in the F5 Solution K42142782.
