Synopsis

An application installed on the remote host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The version of Siemens SIMATIC WinCC (TIA Portal) installed on the remote Windows host is prior or equal to version 15.1 update 2. It is, therefore, affected by a code upload vulnerability. An authenticated attacker with network access to the WinCC DataMonitor application could exploit this vulnerability to upload and execute arbitrary ASPX code.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Contact the vendor to see if an update is available.
