Synopsis

The remote EulerOS host is missing a security update.

Description

According to the version of the systemd packages installed, the EulerOS installation on the remote host is affected by the following vulnerability :

 - An out of bounds read was discovered in systemd-journald in the way it parses log messages that terminate with a colon ':'. A local attacker can use this flaw to disclose process memory data.(CVE-2018-16866)

Note that Tenable Network Security has extracted the preceding description block directly from the EulerOS security advisory. Tenable has attempted to automatically clean and format it as much as possible without introducing additional issues.

Solution

Update the affected systemd package.
