Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update for kernel-alt.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 7 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2019:1350 advisory.

 - kernel: NULL pointer dereference in fs/xfs/libxfs/xfs_inode_buf.c (CVE-2018-13095)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL kernel-alt package based on the guidance in RHSA-2019:1350.
