Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing one or more security updates for .NET Core on Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 7 host has packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the RHSA-2019:1236 advisory.

- dotnet: timeouts for regular expressions are not enforced (CVE-2019-0820)

- dotnet: infinite loop in Uri.TryCreate leading to ASP.Net Core Denial of Service (CVE-2019-0980)

- dotnet: crash in IPAddress.TryCreate leading to ASP.Net Core Denial of Service (CVE-2019-0981)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Update the RHEL .NET Core on Red Hat Enterprise Linux package based on the guidance in RHSA-2019:1236.
