Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing one or more security updates for mod_auth_mellon.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 7 host has packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the RHSA-2019:0766 advisory.

- mod_auth_mellon: open redirect in logout url when using URLs with backslashes (CVE-2019-3877)

- mod_auth_mellon: authentication bypass in ECP flow (CVE-2019-3878)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL mod_auth_mellon package based on the guidance in RHSA-2019:0766.
