Synopsis

The remote device is missing a vendor-supplied security patch.

Description

When processing certainSNMP requests with a request-id of 0, thesnmpdprocess may leak a small amount of memory. (CVE-2019-6606)

Impact

When a remote attacker exploits this vulnerability, the BIG-IP system may consume excessive amounts of memory, which can result in a failover event.

Solution

Upgrade to one of the non-vulnerable versions listed in the F5 Solution K35209601.
