New! Vulnerability Priority Rating (VPR)
Tenable calculates a dynamic VPR for every vulnerability. VPR combines vulnerability information with threat intelligence and machine learning algorithms to predict which vulnerabilities are most likely to be exploited in attacks. Read more about what VPR is and how it's different from CVSS.

SynopsisThe remote Apache Tomcat server is affected by an information disclosure vulnerability.
DescriptionAccording to its self-reported version number, the Apache Tomcat instance listening on the remote host is 7.0.x prior to 7.0.47 or 8.0.x prior to 8.0.0-RC3. It is, therefore, affected by the following vulnerability:
- An information disclosure vulnerability exists in Tomcat due to improper handling of content-length headers. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this to disclose potentially sensitive information.
Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
SolutionUpgrade to Apache Tomcat version 7.0.47 / 8.0.0-RC3 or later.
