Synopsis

The remote Ubuntu host is missing one or more security-related patches.

Description

It was discovered that Exempi incorrectly handled certain media files.
If a user or automated system were tricked into opening a specially crafted file, a remote attacker could cause Exempi to hang or crash, resulting in a denial of service, or possibly execute arbitrary code.

Solution

Update the affected exempi and / or libexempi3 packages.
