New! Vulnerability Priority Rating (VPR)

Tenable calculates a dynamic VPR for every vulnerability. VPR combines vulnerability information with threat intelligence and machine learning algorithms to predict which vulnerabilities are most likely to be exploited in attacks. Read more about what VPR is and how it is different from CVSS.

VPR Score: 4.4

A telephony application running on the remote host is affected by a memory exhaustion remote denial-of-service vulnerability.

According to its SIP banner, the version of Asterisk running on the remote host is 13.x prior to 13.18.3, 14.x prior to 14.7.3, 15.x prior to 15.1.3, or 13.13 prior to 13.13-cert8. It is therefore, affected by a memory exhaustion remote denial-of-service attack as described in AST-2017-013.

Also note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Upgrade to Asterisk version 13.18.3 / 14.7.3 / 15.1.3 / 13.13-cert8 or later.
