The remote Windows host has an application installed that is affected by a buffer overflow vulnerability.

Description

The version of EMC NetWorker installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 8.2.4.9 or 9.x prior to 9.1.1.3 or 9.2.x prior to 9.2.0.4. It is, therefore, affected by a buffer overflow vulnerability. A remote, unauthenticated attacker may potentially exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service condition, depending on the target systems platform.

Solution

Upgrade to EMC NetWorker 8.2.4.9 / 9.1.1.3 / 9.2.0.4 or later.
