New! Vulnerability Priority Rating (VPR)
Tenable calculates a dynamic VPR for every vulnerability. VPR combines vulnerability information with threat intelligence and machine learning algorithms to predict which vulnerabilities are most likely to be exploited in attacks. Read more about what VPR is and how it's different from CVSS.

SynopsisThe community names of the remote SNMP server can be guessed.
DescriptionIt is possible to obtain the default community names of the remote SNMP server.
An attacker can use this information to gain more knowledge about the remote host or to change the configuration of the remote system (if the default community allows such modifications).
SolutionDisable the SNMP service on the remote host if you do not use it, filter incoming UDP packets going to this port, or change the default community string.
