Synopsis :

The remote Ubuntu host is missing a security-related patch.

Description :

It was discovered that ppp incorrectly handled large PIDs. When pppd
is used with a RADIUS server, a remote attacker could use this issue
to cause it to crash, resulting in a denial of service.

Note that Tenable Network Security has extracted the preceding

has attempted to automatically clean and format it as much as possible
without introducing additional issues.

Solution :

Update the affected ppp package.
