Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update for postgresql.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 7 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2018:2557 advisory.

 - postgresql: Certain host connection parameters defeat client-side security defenses (CVE-2018-10915)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL postgresql package based on the guidance in RHSA-2018:2557.
