CVE-2026-54228A time-of-check time-of-use (TOCTOU) race condition was found in the abrt-dbus D-Bus service's SetElement method. Between dump directory creation and post-create event execution, any local user can call SetElement to write arbitrary text files into the root-owned dump directory, bypassing package validation and allowing crashes of unpackaged binaries to survive post-create processing.
high
CVE-2026-11807A missing authorization vulnerability was found in the Event-Driven Ansible (EDA) websocket API. The /api/eda/ws/ansible-rulebook endpoint does not verify user permissions when processing Worker messages. Any authenticated user can send a forged message with an arbitrary activation_id to receive plaintext credentials associated with that activation, including OAuth tokens, vault passwords, and SSH keys.
critical
CVE-2026-16118A flaw was found in xdgmime. A heap-based buffer overflow can be triggered in _xdg_mime_magic_parse_magic_line() in the xdgmimemagic.c file on little-endian systems when an attacker-controlled MIME magic file in a user-writable XDG data location (e.g., in the $XDG_DATA_HOME/mime/magic path) is parsed by an application performing MIME type detection (e.g., via g_content_type_guess()). When performing byte-swap, incorrect pointer arithmetic on the write side causes an out-of-bounds write of 2 bytes, resulting in an application crash or memory corruption.
high
CVE-2026-21710A flaw in Node.js HTTP request handling causes an uncaught `TypeError` when a request is received with a header named `__proto__` and the application accesses `req.headersDistinct`. When this occurs, `dest["__proto__"]` resolves to `Object.prototype` rather than `undefined`, causing `.push()` to be called on a non-array. This exception is thrown synchronously inside a property getter and cannot be intercepted by `error` event listeners, meaning it cannot be handled without wrapping every `req.headersDistinct` access in a `try/catch`. * This vulnerability affects all Node.js HTTP servers on **20.x, 22.x, 24.x, and v25.x**

CVE-2026-34982Vim is an open source, command line text editor. Prior to version 9.2.0276, a modeline sandbox bypass in Vim allows arbitrary OS command execution when a user opens a crafted file. The `complete`, `guitabtooltip` and `printheader` options are missing the `P_MLE` flag, allowing a modeline to be executed. Additionally, the `mapset()` function lacks a `check_secure()` call, allowing it to be abused from sandboxed expressions. Commit 9.2.0276 fixes the issue.

CVE-2026-93579A flaw was found in Netty's HTTP/2 stack. This vulnerability allows a remote attacker to inject prohibited characters, such as NUL, Line Feed, and Carriage Return, into HTTP/2 header field values due to insufficient validation. When these values cross an HTTP/2 to HTTP/1.1 translation boundary, they can be exploited for request smuggling, header injection, or response splitting. This could lead to unauthorized access, data manipulation, or other security bypasses.
medium
CVE-2026-93574A flaw was found in Netty's `netty-codec-http` component. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted HTTP/1.1 chunk-size token that includes post-digit whitespace. This incorrect parsing of the chunk size can lead to HTTP request smuggling. This allows an attacker to bypass security controls or access unauthorized resources in proxy/backend deployments.

CVE-2026-42033Axios is a promise based HTTP client for the browser and Node.js. Prior to 1.15.1 and 0.31.1, when Object.prototype has been polluted by any co-dependency with keys that axios reads without a hasOwnProperty guard, an attacker can (a) silently intercept and modify every JSON response before the application sees it, or (b) fully hijack the underlying HTTP transport, gaining access to request credentials, headers, and body. The precondition is prototype pollution from a separate source in the same process. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.15.1 and 0.31.1.
high
CVE-2026-42041Axios is a promise based HTTP client for the browser and Node.js. Prior to 1.15.1 and 0.31.1, the Axios library is vulnerable to a Prototype Pollution "Gadget" attack that allows any Object.prototype pollution to silently suppress all HTTP error responses (401, 403, 500, etc.), causing them to be treated as successful responses. This completely bypasses application-level authentication and error handling. The root cause is that validateStatus is the only config property using the mergeDirectKeys merge strategy, which uses JavaScript's in operator — an operator that inherently traverses the prototype chain. When Object.prototype.validateStatus is polluted with () => true, all HTTP status codes are accepted as success. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.15.1 and 0.31.1.

CVE-2026-24049wheel is a command line tool for manipulating Python wheel files, as defined in PEP 427. In versions 0.40.0 through 0.46.1, the unpack function is vulnerable to file permission modification through mishandling of file permissions after extraction. The logic blindly trusts the filename from the archive header for the chmod operation, even though the extraction process itself might have sanitized the path. Attackers can craft a malicious wheel file that, when unpacked, changes the permissions of critical system files (e.g., /etc/passwd, SSH keys, config files), allowing for Privilege Escalation or arbitrary code execution by modifying now-writable scripts. This issue has been fixed in version 0.46.2.

CVE-2026-83589A flaw was found in oauth-proxy. The application fails to properly validate the destination redirect parameter (`rd`) during post-login redirection. A remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability by enticing a user to follow a specially crafted link, resulting in the user being redirected to an arbitrary external website after authenticating. This open redirect can be leveraged to conduct phishing attacks or credential theft.
medium
CVE-2026-19611A flaw was found in WildFly Elytron. Password hashing and verification normalize input with Unicode NFKC, which can collapse fullwidth characters to ASCII equivalents. A remote attacker can more easily guess affected passwords by using an ASCII-only dictionary against accounts whose passwords were intended to include those non-ASCII characters, leading to unauthorized access.
high
CVE-2026-93569A flaw was found in Netty. A remote unauthenticated attacker can exploit a vulnerability in Netty's HTTP/1 to HTTP/2 conversion process. When an HTTP/1 request includes both an absolute-form request-target and a conflicting Host header, Netty incorrectly prioritizes the Host header for the HTTP/2 :authority field, discarding the original request-target authority. This inconsistency can allow an attacker to bypass security controls in Netty-based proxies or gateways, potentially leading to unauthorized access, cache poisoning, or misrouting of requests.
high
CVE-2026-72694A flaw was found in MRTG. When the MRTG daemon is started as a root user and subsequently drops privileges, a local, low-privileged attacker can exploit a symbolic link (symlink) following vulnerability. By influencing or pre-placing a symlink in the process ID (PID) file path, the attacker can trick the root process into changing the ownership of an arbitrary existing file to the daemon user. This can lead to local privilege escalation, allowing unauthorized access to or modification of sensitive files.

CVE-2026-16527An unauthenticated remote attacker can bypass access controls by sending crafted requests to the PCP pmproxy /store endpoint. This allows the attacker to overwrite any PMDA metric, leading to arbitrary code execution and system takeover.
high
CVE-2026-32590A flaw was found in Red Hat Quay's handling of resumable container image layer uploads. The upload process stores intermediate data in the database using a format that, if tampered with, could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code on the Quay server.
high
CVE-2026-3832A flaw was found in gnutls. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by presenting a specially crafted Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP) response during a TLS handshake. Due to a logic error in how gnutls processes multi-record OCSP responses, a client with OCSP verification enabled may incorrectly accept a revoked server certificate, potentially leading to a compromise of trust.

CVE-2026-50258A stack-based buffer overflow flaw was found in the X.Org X server and Xwayland. The X server has multiple stack buffers sized XkbMaxShiftLevel * XkbNumKbdGroups but CheckKeyTypes() does not verify or clamp non-canonical key types to XkbMaxShiftLevel. A client can change key types to excessive shift levels and trigger stack overflows. This is caused by an incomplete fix of CVE-2025-26597. This may be used to crash the server, or for privilege escalation if the X server runs as root.
high
CVE-2026-50257A use-after-free flaw was found in the X.Org X server and Xwayland in miSyncDestroyFence(). A client that sets up multiple fence triggers can trigger a use-after-free function pointer call. An attacker would connect to the X server to set up a fence and await that fence, then a second X connection destroys the fence, causing the use-after-free. This may be used to crash the server, or for privilege escalation if the X server runs as root.

CVE-2026-2332In Eclipse Jetty, the HTTP/1.1 parser is vulnerable to request smuggling when chunk extensions are used, similar to the "funky chunks" techniques outlined here: * https://w4ke.info/2025/06/18/funky-chunks.html * https://w4ke.info/2025/10/29/funky-chunks-2.html Jetty terminates chunk extension parsing at \r\n inside quoted strings instead of treating this as an error. POST / HTTP/1.1 Host: localhost Transfer-Encoding: chunked 1;ext="val X 0 GET /smuggled HTTP/1.1 ... Note how the chunk extension does not close the double quotes, and it is able to inject a smuggled request.

CVE-2026-27784The 32-bit implementation of NGINX Open Source has a vulnerability in the ngx_http_mp4_module module, which might allow an attacker to over-read or over-write NGINX worker memory resulting in its termination, using a specially crafted MP4 file. The issue only affects 32-bit NGINX Open Source if it is built with the ngx_http_mp4_module module and the mp4 directive is used in the configuration file. Additionally, the attack is possible only if an attacker can trigger the processing of a specially crafted MP4 file with the ngx_http_mp4_module module. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.

CVE-2026-18453A flaw was found in 389 Directory Server. A missing NULL pointer check in the paged results handling of op_shared_search allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to crash the LDAP server by sending a crafted sequence of search requests using the USE_ONE_BACKEND control, resulting in denial of service.
high
CVE-2026-19843A flaw was found in 389-ds-base. The Cockpit 389 Console's LDAP editor constructs an ldapsearch command by embedding an LDAP entry's distinguished name (DN) into a shell command string without proper escaping. An LDAP user with delegated privileges to create or rename directory entries could craft a malicious DN containing shell metacharacters. When a Cockpit administrator subsequently views the entry in the 389 Console, the embedded shell command executes with root privileges on the directory server host.

CVE-2026-6100Use-after-free (UAF) was possible in the `lzma.LZMADecompressor`, `bz2.BZ2Decompressor`, and `gzip.GzipFile` when a memory allocation fails with a `MemoryError` and the decompression instance is re-used. This scenario can be triggered if the process is under memory pressure. The fix cleans up the dangling pointer in this specific error condition. The vulnerability is only present if the program re-uses decompressor instances across multiple decompression calls even after a `MemoryError` is raised during decompression. Using the helper functions to one-shot decompress data such as `lzma.decompress()`, `bz2.decompress()`, `gzip.decompress()`, and `zlib.decompress()` are not affected as a new decompressor instance is used per call. If the decompressor instance is not re-used after an error condition, this usage is similarly not vulnerable.

CVE-2026-44990ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system, and sanitize-html provides a simple HTML sanitizer with a clear API. Under the default configuration, versions of `sanitize-html` prior to 2.17.4 can turn attacker-controlled content inside a disallowed `xmp` element into live HTML or JavaScript. This is a sanitizer bypass in the default `disallowedTagsMode: 'discard'` path and can lead to stored XSS in applications that render sanitized output back to users. Version 2.17.4 patches the issue.
