HDF5 Library through 1.14.3 contains a heap-based buffer over-read caused by the unsafe use of strdup in H5MM_xstrdup in H5MM.c (called from H5G__ent_to_link in H5Glink.c).

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 9 host has packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the RHSA-2025:3801 advisory.

    RPM packages are internal build artifacts and not supported on their own.
    They are only supported as part of the RHEL AI application image.

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

The Linux/Unix host has one or more packages installed that are impacted by a vulnerability without a vendor supplied patch available.
