Consul and Consul Enterprise allowed any user with service:write permissions to use Envoy extensions configured via service-defaults to patch remote proxy instances that target the configured service, regardless of whether the user has permission to modify the service(s) corresponding to those modified proxies.

An update of the telegraf package has been released.

The Linux/Unix host has one or more packages installed that are impacted by a vulnerability without a vendor supplied patch available.

The version of telegraf installed on the remote CBL Mariner 2.0 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CVE-2023-2816 advisory.
