Microsoft Excel in Microsoft Office 2007, Microsoft Office 2010, Microsoft Office 2013, and Microsoft Office 2016 allows a remote code execution vulnerability due to the way objects are handled in memory, aka "Microsoft Excel Remote Code Execution Vulnerability".

The Microsoft Office Products are missing security updates.
It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities :

  - A remote code execution vulnerability exists in     Microsoft Office software when the software fails     to properly handle objects in memory. An attacker who     successfully exploited the vulnerability could run     arbitrary code in the context of the current user.
    If the current user is logged on with administrative     user rights, an attacker could take control of the     affected system. An attacker could then install     programs; view, change, or delete data; or create new     accounts with full user rights. (CVE-2018-0796)

  - An Office RTF remote code execution vulnerability     exists in Microsoft Office software when the Office     software fails to properly handle RTF files. An attacker     who successfully exploited the vulnerability could run     arbitrary code in the context of the current user. If     the current user is logged on with administrative user     rights, an attacker could take control of the affected     system. An attacker could then install programs; view,     change, or delete data; or create new accounts with     full user rights. (CVE-2018-0797)

The Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack products installed on the remote host are missing security updates.
It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities :

- A remote code execution vulnerability exists in   Microsoft Office software when the software fails to   properly handle objects in memory. An attacker who   successfully exploited the vulnerability could run   arbitrary code in the context of the current user.
