  - An issue was discovered in Pure-FTPd 1.0.49. An out-of-bounds (OOB) read has been detected in the
    pure_strcmp function in utils.c. (CVE-2020-9365)

An uninitialized pointer vulnerability was discovered in pure-ftpd, a secure and efficient FTP server, which could result in an out-of-bounds memory read and potential information disclosure.

For Debian 8 'Jessie', this problem has been fixed in version 1.0.36-3.2+deb8u1.
