The remote device is missing a vendor-supplied security patch.

Description

According to its self-reported version, the Cisco IOS XR Software is affected by a denial of service vulnerability within the Cisco Discovery Protocol due to missing a check when processing protocol messages. An unauthenticated, adjacent attacker can exploit this to cause the device to reboot.

Solution

Upgrade to the relevant fixed version referenced in Cisco bug IDs CSCvr15024.
