Synopsis

The remote SSH server may be affected by an information disclosure vulnerability.

Description

The version of OpenSSH running on the remote host is prior to version 5.8p2 and is affected by a vulnerability that will execute ssh-rand-helper with unintended open file descriptors on certain platforms, which allows local users to obtain sensitive key information via the ptrace system call.

Solution

Upgrade to OpenSSH 5.8p2 or later.
