Synopsis

The remote host is vulnerable to a buffer overflow and other flaws.

Description

The remote host is running Eudora WorldMail, a commercial mail server for Windows. This version of Worldmail is vulnerable to a remote buffer overflow. An attacker exploiting this flaw would be able to execute arbitrary code on the target machine. In addition, the application is reported to be vulnerable to a Denial of Service (DoS) attack.

Solution

Upgrade or patch according to vendor recommendations.
