UW-IMAP Quote String Buffer Overflow

Medium Nessus Network Monitor Plugin ID 3251

Synopsis

The IMAP server is vulnerable to an overflow after authentication.

Description

There is a flaw in the remote UW-IMAP server that allows an authenticated user to execute arbitrary code on the server. The flaw is in the way that UW-IMAP handles quoted mailbox names. Solution
