New! Plugin Severity Now Using CVSS v3

The calculated severity for Plugins has been updated to use CVSS v3 by default. Plugins that do not have a CVSS v3 score will fall back to CVSS v2 for calculating severity. Severity display preferences can be toggled in the settings dropdown.

Synopsis

The remote host is vulnerable to a local flaw in the way that it protects data files.

Description

The remote host is using Skype, a peer to peer chat and VoIP software. The remote version of this software contains a security issue that may allow a local attacker to overwrite sensitive data files. Successful exploitation would result in loss of confidential data or possibly a Denial of Service (DoS).
