Synopsis

The version of Veeam Backup and Replication installed on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The version of Veeam Backup and Replication installed on the remote host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the kb4852 advisory.

 - A vulnerability allowing an authenticated user with the Backup Administrator role to write arbitrary files on Linux-based Veeam Backup & Replication server. (CVE-2026-32997)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Veeam Backup and Replication version 13.0.2.29 or later.
