Description

The Linux/Unix host has one or more packages installed that are impacted by a vulnerability without a vendor supplied patch available.

- The setup_logging function in log.h in SANLock uses world-writable permissions for /var/log/sanlock.log, which allows local users to overwrite the file content or bypass intended disk-quota restrictions via standard filesystem write operations. (CVE-2012-5638)

Note that Nessus relies on the presence of the package as reported by the vendor.
