Synopsis

An instance of Puppet Agent installed on the remote system is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

A flaw was discovered in Puppet Agent and Puppet Server that may result in a leak of HTTP credentials when following HTTP redirects to a different host. This is similar to CVE-2018-1000007.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Puppet Agent version 6.25.1, 7.12.1, or later.
