The remote Ubuntu host is missing a security update.


The remote Ubuntu 16.04 ESM host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the USN-4827-1 advisory.

- Crypto++ (aka cryptopp) through 5.6.5 contains an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in zinflate.cpp in the Inflator filter. (CVE-2017-9434)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.


Update the affected libcrypto++-dev, libcrypto++-utils and / or libcrypto++9v5 packages.
