Synopsis

The Autodesk Maya USD Plugin installed on the remote host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The version of Autodesk Maya USD Plugin installed on the remote host is prior to 0.23.0. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities:

- A malicious actor may convince a victim to open a malicious USD file that may trigger an uninitialized variable which may result in code execution. (CVE-2023-25010)

- A malicious actor may convince a victim to open a malicious USD file that may trigger an out-of-bounds read vulnerability which may result in code execution. (CVE-2023-27906)
- A malicious actor may convince a victim to open a malicious USD file that may trigger an out-of-bounds write vulnerability which may result in code execution. (CVE-2023-27907)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Autodesk Maya USD Plugin version 0.23.0 or later.
