Synopsis
The remote Amazon Linux 2 host is missing a security update.Description
The version of booth installed on the remote host is prior to 1.0-8.ef769ef.git. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ALAS2-2023-2009 advisory.- The authfile directive in the booth config file is ignored, preventing use of authentication in communications from node to node. As a result, nodes that do not have the correct authentication key are not prevented from communicating with other nodes in the cluster. (CVE-2022-2553)
Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
Solution
Run 'yum update booth' to update your system.See Also
