The remote CBL Mariner host is missing one or more security updates.


The version of libconfuse installed on the remote CBL Mariner 2.0 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CVE-2022-40320 advisory.

- cfg_tilde_expand in confuse.c in libConfuse 3.3 has a heap-based buffer over-read. (CVE-2022-40320)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
