Synopsis

The remote CBL Mariner host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of libjpeg-turbo installed on the remote CBL Mariner 2.0 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CVE-2020-35538 advisory.

 - A crafted input file could cause a null pointer dereference in jcopy_sample_rows() when processed by libjpeg-turbo. (CVE-2020-35538)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
