EulerOS 2.0 SP1 : kernel (EulerOS-SA-2016-1051)

This script is Copyright (C) 2017 Tenable Network Security, Inc.

Synopsis :

The remote EulerOS host is missing multiple security updates.

Description :

According to the versions of the kernel packages installed, the
EulerOS installation on the remote host is affected by the following
vulnerabilities :

- A race condition was found in the way the Linux
kernel's memory subsystem handled the copy-on-write
(COW) breakage of private read-only memory mappings. An
unprivileged, local user could use this flaw to gain
write access to otherwise read-only memory mappings and
thus increase their privileges on the
system.(CVE-2016-5195)

- Use-after-free vulnerability in the __sys_recvmmsg
function in net/socket.c in the Linux kernel before
4.5.2 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code
via vectors involving a recvmmsg system call that is
mishandled during error processing.(CVE-2016-7117)

Note that Tenable Network Security has extracted the preceding
description block directly from the EulerOS security advisory. Tenable
has attempted to automatically clean and format it as much as possible
without introducing additional issues.
