Synopsis :

The remote Ubuntu host is missing one or more security-related
patches.

Description :

Hanno Bock discovered that GStreamer Base Plugins did not correctly
handle certain malformed media files. If a user were tricked into
opening a crafted media file with a GStreamer application, an attacker
could cause a denial of service via application crash.

Note that Tenable Network Security has extracted the preceding
description block directly from the Ubuntu security advisory. Tenable
has attempted to automatically clean and format it as much as possible
without introducing additional issues.

Solution :

Update the affected gstreamer0.10-plugins-base and / or
gstreamer1.0-plugins-base packages.
