Virtuozzo 7 : readykernel-patch (VZA-2017-065)

This script is Copyright (C) 2017 Tenable Network Security, Inc.

Synopsis :

The remote Virtuozzo host is missing a security update.

Description :

According to the version of the vzkernel package and the
readykernel-patch installed, the Virtuozzo installation on the remote
host is affected by the following vulnerabilities :

- The mq_notify function in the Linux kernel through
4.11.9 does not set the sock pointer to NULL upon entry
into the retry logic. During a user-space close of a
Netlink socket, it allows attackers to cause a denial
of service (use-after-free) or possibly have
unspecified other impact.

- If the sctp module was loaded on the host, a privileged
user inside a container could make sctp listen on a
socket in an inappropriate state, causing a kernel
crash (use-after-free in sctp_wait_for_sndbuf()).

Note that Tenable Network Security has extracted the preceding
description block directly from the Virtuozzo security advisory.
Tenable has attempted to automatically clean and format it as much as
possible without introducing additional issues.
